Saratoga Meet

As I left the track on Sunday my wife and I said see you again next year God willing as I've been coming here for 45 years. It was a roller coaster ride for me the whole meet as I wagered everyday they raced. It was great racing, great jockey rides, lucky headbobs, unlucky nose losses, some rain taking races off the turf and one tragic race last week that was ugly to watch again. I got to meet Mich. for the first time as he visited a few times and we were able to watch a few races together while having a beer. Mich. is a great guy and I wish that I could have hung around longer with him but he was there with family and friends and I was with my family, it cost both of us this past Sunday as I met him to say good bye after a race and I had the 30-1 horse that won but not the 2nd place horse that Mich. had and Mich. didn't have my horse, it cost both of us a $400. exacta. I'll probably slow down on playing horses as Delmar and Kentucky Downs close out by next week and time to get serious with football. This is a great racing forum with very good handicappers and I'll continue to check in to try and cash in some winning tickets when available. Good luck to everyone.

Was great meeting you up there, Joe. You're a lucky guy having such a beautiful track with the world's best horses right in your neighborhood. Had no luck up there this year but, like you, the Good Lord willing, I'll be back up there smiling again next year.

Wish we could have spent more time and actually gone through a few races handicapping together but the circumstances just weren't right for that. Maybe next year.
